  1. Not gonna be able to make this now due to work committments! Still, it will give me a bit more time to do some work on her for the next one!
  2. Has anyone got any recomendations for getting TV signals around the house? I have recently put a LCD TV in the bedroom but have no coaxial socket to plug it into. I have been looking at TV/Video senders but dont know how good they might be, plus some forums suggest they might mess up your wifi? Experiences or recommendations please
  3. Had the main warning triangle come on yesterday on the motorway. Checked other lights to find that the spoiler light was flashing so turned off the spoiler....warning light went out. Turned the spoiler back on and a bit later the warning triange came on again, this time the orange engine light came on with it on the right hand side! Turned off the spoiler and eventually both lights went out and did not come on again. If the spoiler is sticking or having a moment of madness does the orange engine light and the warning triange come on together or should I be looking for something else!
  4. Cheers Guys... Yep it was all agreed and I am not joking when I say the paperwork was all drawn up to be signed this afternoon! Everything had been done, all searches, mortgage agreements, valuations/survey the lot.....so not only am I well pissed off that I dont get the house, I also have a wedge of bills to pay for nothing!!! Brilliant!!
  5. They have offered another £10K more. To be truthful it was an investment property so I am looking at it with a business head....the house came with potential building land so I know I will only get into a bidding war with a developer if I offer more money and end up paying well over the odds for it!
  6. Typical, you have good and bad news on the same day! Just had the Sup MOT`d......went through like a dream with the only advisory note that the front pads will need changing soon On the bad side, was just about to sign for a new house today at the solicitors and the effin seller calls to say he has had a better offer at the last minute and is pulling out of the deal.....the ******* !!! So lost a load of money on surveyors, solicitors etc!! Hope the rest of the weekend is more good than bad!
  7. Have you read the attached threads? Are you sure its not the same problem that a few of us have experienced?
  8. You could have the mystery `Whine`....see thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=103863
  9. Just looking for a Haynes manual, need to do some simple service work so dont really need a full workshop manual (unless someone has it on CD/DVD?) Cheers
  10. Looks like a possible faulty rad cap may be the cause of some of my coolant problems. Any recommendations on what Rad Cap I should look get to replace the Toyota one thats on there at the moment?
  11. cheers Rob I missed these posts on my search, so thanks for digging them out! Its possible then I have a faulty cap. Odd though as it was a new Toyota one that came with the rad about a year ago? Nice and easy to eliminate though! Thanks
  12. Cheers Merck Another quick question, whilst I am having them done is it worth putting on a new set of hand brake shoes? To be honest I have had the car for about 5 years and still on the same rear discs. I have no idea how and when these should be changed?
  13. no trick question LOL I am going to put new discs on the rear and just want to know what depth of wear material they come with new, or whats the minimum depth before they need changing. The current pads have only been on the car for about 8-10 months but am undecided if I need need to put new pads on when I change the discs?
  14. Just a quick question. Roughly what is the depth of wear material you should have on the rear pads? At what point should you consider changing them?
  15. out of interest how often should you look to change the fuel filter?
  16. Tech guys.... I need help I have read a load of old threads and want to get to the bottom of my water issue before it becomes an issue!!! Scenario: Occasionally I can hear the water bubbling from behind the dash and have a suspicion that its a partially blocked Matrix? So run it up today, and let it idle to see if the inlet/outlet pipes on the matrix get hot. They both get too hot to touch although it could be my imagination but the top pipe (nearest the O/S) perhaps does not get quite as hot as the other? Also ran the car with the rad cap off and it did seem to occasionally bubble and spill out water when revving the engine, but nothing happens on idle and the water level does not rise or bubble. Is this normal? My third problem and a possible route cause is that I never seem to have any water in my plastic expansion tank. I can fill it up but after a period of driving its always empty. I dont think its cracked. The odd thing is that whenever I take the rad cap off the rad is always full with no loss of water? Its been doing it a while and there is no gunk in the oil cap or water on the dipstick to suggest a head gasket problem, plus the dashboard gauge is always just below half way and it never overheats. The footwells are dry so I dont think its matrix problem and the rad was new only about a year ago with a lovely new shiny cap? Any ideas what is going on. If it needs a matrix flush where do you guys uncouple the pipes (at the matrix itself or off the pipes to the matrix) Also if its air locked whats the best way to bleed the system? Cheers
  17. If only Britain would adopt the same system to prevent speeding as Denmark! http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/03/28/bikini_bandits/
  18. cheers jay, will give this a check. One of the odd things that I should have mentioned is that the rad always looks full (it was a new rad and cap about a year ago), but the overflow is always empty. It has no cracks etc, but if I fill it up whenever I remember to next look at it its empty again? Any ideas?

    Enzo Crash Video

He's got a lot of `man whoring` ahead of him to pay for that!!!!!
  21. Also as something to try when you have a straight road: Try, leaving it in `Drive` and giving the accelerator a very quick blip (say at 30-40mph) and then flooring it! The turbos seem to spool up at the same time as the kick down and ZZZzzzooommmm your off! (great in the dry but dont try it in the wet!!!)
  22. Have read through some of the previous threads on flushing the matrix. Is it as simple as putting a hose on it for 5-10 minutes per outlet? How robust is the matrix, I read that some people have used acid etc but would that not weaken the matrix? TBH I am not sure if it is blocked but I am getting a gurgling sound from behind the dash? If anyone else has experienced this and knows the cause I would be grateful!
  23. Recently I have started to hear the sound of water through the matrix, and think it may be partially blocked. Any suggestions to the best way to flush it through? The last thing I want is a split Matrix!!!! Has anyone else experienced this problem?
  24. It may have been me.....but there are so may silver sup's round here its anyones guess !!!!!
  25. Ah Reading......the home of the Supra! There seems to be more Supras in Berkshire than anywhere else in the world
