  1. Mate, I'm after the dials - speedo, revs, water temp and fuel. I've just done exactly the same conversion to my car. I came to the same conclusion, but now its done, I'm loving the car. Any snags, just ask (don't forget to swop fuel pump and fuel pump control box in inner wing OS rear!!) Simon
  2. I've got one for sale if you're still in need. Perfect working order, very smooth shift, no noise or rattles. It came out of my own car when I did a complete engine/gearbox/diff change to UK spec. Portsmouth area. PM if you're interested. Cheers, Simon
  3. NUR spec baffle wanted. Mine got blown out one day! Cheers, Simon
  4. I'm in, subject to usual blah about quality, colour and logo's. Cheers, Simon
  5. I did the very simple conversion from auto to a manual on my normally aspirated Sup some time ago with this 5 speed box. It is smooth and quiet. I have subsequently thrown in a TT engine & 6 speed box into the car, so the 5 speed is now surplus to rqrmts. So the box and the correct length prop shaft to fit straight into a NA Sup are available. I'm looking for £250 for it, if my memory serves me correctly I paid £750 for it 2 years ago. (Yes, I did advertise this about 6 months ago, but at that time no one wanted one) Simon
  6. Have successfully converted my NA motor to twin turbo (engine & manual box from UK spec Sup), but the calibration of speedo is all wrong (indicates I'm doing 110 when I'm doing 70) and the rev counter doesn't work at all (the signal pick up point is different between the 2 engines and I imagine it's an entirely different signal to the dial). Could do with the 3 dial panel for UK spec car, anyone got one pls? Simon
  7. If they fit okay, pls count me in for a set when you go into mass production. VMT Simon
  8. Still DESPERATE for UK spec manual diff, clearly I wasn't quick enough to get Chiefgroovers diff...it was for sale at 0445 in the morning, sold by 1045! Cheers guys Simon
  9. Completely destroyed my Diff, car off road until a replacement is found - pls help! I've no idea if the ratios are the same between UK spec and jap LSDs, whether manuals and autos TT all had same diff so I can widen my search -any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and gals, Simon
  10. Flippin heck fellas, thanks very much for such speedy help. Chris not only sorted me a pair of cats within 1/2 an hour of my post, but also diagnosed the noises I've got with the gearbox at the same time! Top geezer, cheers mate. Simon
  11. Desperately seeking both cats for UK TT, grateful to loan/hire or purchase. I have heard that Sup will get through MOT with just the first stage cat and a by pass for second - if so, will happily loan/hire or purchase any combo. Thanks gang. Simon.
  12. Chris, my car has a full decat pipe bypassing both stages of cat. I've been informed to get the car through an MOT that I'll need of a front cat (1995 UK TT manual) and either a decat pipe for the second stage or a second stage cat. Can you help at all? Thank you Simon
  13. Anyone know the effect of not having the second oxygen sensor (AKA sub-heated sensor?) fitted in a UK spec TT pse? (The car has a decat pipe installed) Thanks guys Simon
  14. I just did this swop last week. The prop needed is shorter on the LSD, and the passenger side drive shaft is significantly shorter than the auto item too. (Basically, whilst both diffs have the same fixings to the chassis, the LSD is longer and wider, albeit the extra width is almost entirely offset to the passenger side. The UK LSD also comes with an electric pump on the top of it which needs wiring up if you're intending to really excercise the diff - the pump drives diff oil out to an oil cooler in the drivers side air duct. Simon
  15. Engine (inc turbos, inlet etc), gearbox, prop, diff, driveshafts, brakes from 1994 UK spec TT. ECU (AKA ECM), engine loom, igniter, ballast resistor from same donar. UK spec air intake box, MAFsensor, fuel pump, fuel computer, rad shroud, supplementary elec rad fan, all sourced and installed. Turbos are standard UK spec items, refurbed & rebuilt by Turbo Dynamics. Original (Jap spec NA) pwr str pump, air con pump, alternator fitted. None standard parts: Cat bypass pipe installed, to Blitz NUR spec exhaust (the hole in the cat bypass for 2nd oxygen sensor is bunged up with a sensor from the NA car, but not connected to anything). HKS plugs (they were already in the TT engine). FMIC. HKS SSQV dump valve fitted in place of the traction control sensor/motor, the electrics to that sensor have been cut off. I thought that the electrics to the traction control sensor/motor only influenced traction contol and automatic box - as I have neither, thought I'd be okay there. Thought that the 2nd oxy sensor had no effect on performance (?? not sure on this one), so didn't mind being without for a while. As for the crank and cam sensors..they're all in place and working I think, so could I have put the inlet cam on incorrectly (180 out?) when i rebuilt the engine? Would it give the symptoms I described in my 1st mail?
