    Paint codes

Chipsaway do a pretty good job, they match my storm blue no problem. Theres also a paint company in Bedford that will match ANY paint colour from the last 50 years - match the Storm Blue again with no problem - or Teal as they called it Dean..
  3. Current mods are :- Decatted with a Leon special. HKS induction kit. Thats it - other than lowered, but don't think that makes much difference to the boost Going to go for the NurSpec at some point - as a UK car believe that creep/over boost etc. is not such an issue Dean..
  4. Connected the boost gauge up at the weekend (thanks to everyone for the advice - especially john who pointed out where the bonnet was ) What readings should i be seeing. At idle it somewhere down the bottom 30/40 ?? At about 70-100mph putting my foot down hard it goes up to about 0.9 to 1.0 - is this about right - should it be more/less ?? Why are they different types of readings at the top and bottom ends of the gauge Dean..
  5. I found grommet - didnt see wallace though :cheesy: Gave it a poke and it pushed through - could see the carpet, so i'm ok there.... I'm determined to do one job on the car myself - i'm on a roll now, having done the induction kit, and stereo, after this i'll be on full engine rebuilds - just hope its like my old beetle and only four bolts to get the thing out ( and one man to lift it )
  6. Yep it is mechanical and i've got the 'T', all i need to do now is work out where the intake manifold and throttle body is
  7. Hi Just fitted the boost gauge in the blank under the stereo. Now need to plumb it in some where... The Japanese instructions were not particularly forthcoming Any (simple) detail appreciated Dean..

Are you an MK bod ?? If so - we're getting far too common I'm just down the road in Cranfield - and you missed the regular MK meet just week before last. There's a few Supra's in MK... Dean.
  9. Took the car to Leon on Saturday - what a lovely opportunity to bang it down the M1 at 130+ from Milton Keynes to Bushey. Dont you love upsetting people in little cars - TT Coupe, Alfa 156, Alfa Spider, Honda Integra - nothing to meaty but good fun  Didn't cure the creek though - took the wheel off - couldnt find anything untoward - believe it probably to new Eibach Springs and Bilstein shocks - the shocks are not the Toyota Bilstein, but are Bilsteins own ?? with an adjuster that turns depending on speed... Dean..
  10. Dont think it makes much performance difference 2-5 bhp ?? Thought the induction kit makes a lovely sound. (Just fitted it to my UK TT) Dean.. ps. How much are you paying for the induction kit and fitting - it takes about 30mins to fit yourself... - I did mine round at Leons, while he was fitting springs.
  11. Definately no rubbing - have now spoken to Leon and am running down Saturday morning.. It does not make a noise when actually turning the steering wheel - only when moving the car v.slowly on lock, i.e. turned the wheel first while stationary
  12. Have just noticed a new sound since have new shocks and springs fitted. When the car is on lock (nearly full) - at slow speed, i.e. reversing - you get a strange creek/squeek from the passenger side front - we've had the wheel off - there is no play anywhere - it only happens at very slow speed. Is it to do with the Bushes ?? - is it a sign of something wearing - Leon had a good look round when he did the job and certainly didn't spot anything, and i'm sure its been ok for the last 2 weeks, only starting yesterday....
