I know what you mean about using a carwash i had a mad 5 mins and thought id use it to give the underbody a good wash as there had been tons of salt on the roads for weeks so wanted to get it all off Never use em and got screwed the time i did

Yes i had a problem with a car wash as well. The argument i had is that all car wash software is logic software. Now when this software detects a problem it should shut down immediately. It did not do so in my case and i was stuck in the car wash for 5 mins with the brushes slowly cutting into the paint work. They tried to use the no spoiler get out but as soon as i mentioned that their software was in breach of HSE legislation they shut up and agreed to repair the car. Though i am now fighting with them to repair the mess the reapir of mopping th brush marks out has caused. Now my whole car looks like a bag of crap but they have one more chance to remove the mop marks then i want a full respray out of them. Oh by the way this happened last novemeber so they do drag their heels as usual but hey if i get a free respray out of it then i wont be complaining.

I got to say i wish i had used proper caliper paint rather than Hammerite as the hammerite has a burnt toasted look to it with small cracks all over and the brake dust seems to have penetrated it so never cleans back to a good colour. I did mine all yellow loved it for 2 days then it just looked like crap after that Maybe if you dont hammer you car and brakes hammerite will be ok otherwise i suggest only using the caliper paint.

The problem with that fibre sandpaper is it would not actually polish the glass the idea was to sand the end of the fibre to a perfectly flat edge to stop Db loss in the connection.It leave the glass all dulled so no good. Use the above kit with a 1200 watt drill and you will be fine

There is a special polishing kit for glass as long as they are not deep scratches that is.
