  1. Found separate amps: Amp used for sub is Sony - XM-D1600PS 1 channel class D power amp. Is dusty and a bit tatty finish wise, where it's been in shed but should be good. If can find time and quick way to test it will check it. But unless it went bad while not in use, should be good, was all fine last time used. Also, random other amps/bits: JVC 2x90W + 2x25W Amp, a parametric active crossover box and an old SoundLab 2x100W amp.
  2. Approx external dimensions: 75x41x20cm
  3. Dug it out, was pretty dusty but looks in decent shape. Have given it a quick hoover but would benefit more thorough clean up... 2x 12" woofers - each wired to a separate pair of binding posts so you can run parallel or individually.
  4. If you want to outsource you really need to tread carefully and have organisational support for it. It can be fine, but for a small simple system (or legacy maintenance) you might just need one or more contractors. After all software can get VERY expensive VERY quickly. My team is in England, Scotland, Ukraine, Singapore, USA and Israel to name a few and it's not an issue, however time-zones can be a PITA, as can communications. Good luck!
  5. I'll dig out and take a pic as soon as I get a chance.
  6. Years ago when I was into car audio I made a subwoofer box for the back of a supra mkiv. The box is shallow and is designed to fit in the compact space of the supra boot. It's made of 18mm MDF, braced, sealed and ported and covered in carpet. It contains IIRC 2x 12 inch very meaty speakers (make escapes me). Designed as I recall for an active crossover, or external passive one. No idea the design spec now but given the small box size (due to limited boot space) the box was ported for around 45-50Hz Did run on a 1k class-d power amp and was very overspec to requirements, sounded great though. Hard to value but since it is heavy/bulky if you wanted it and would collect it, it can be yours for not much, lets say £75 ono. I'm in Sussex. If there's any interest in car audio I might have some other bits to follow or go with it, will see what I can dig out. Including the amp (which maybe dusty but should be functioning).
  7. No worries, once the best offer got removed I was clear before anyone came or offered a deposit the sale terms, since the ad had became un-viewable, I made it really clear. And to be fair I have withdrawn it and re-listed for more again, that would still have been my choice entirely. But pulling valid ads really is not helpful. No harm done. I apologise for the unnecessary confusion, maybe selling here on the forum was a mistake but objective was to sell hassle free, quickly and find an honest enthusiast to be the new long term keeper, objective fulfilled. All is well that ends well.
  8. £13,500 no offers, which would have been fine had the mods not pulled the ad for the car afterwards, which then lead to maximum confusion. I didn't re-list it immediately because it got held under a sensible deposit immediately, had it not gone immediately I would have or sold trade, because I don't need the hassle. Anyway, all is good. Main thing is the car stays on the road in caring hands - sold to an enthusiast, that's all I really wanted.
  9. Nail on the head. It's obvious I had a sale in mind should it come to it (it did, this Monday) - it's obvious it wasn't about the $$$ in selling, I don't make my money from used cars, I'm a long term member and owner. The car was always priced to sell, anyone who seriously wanted it could have just suggested coming to see it and striking a pending deal. Not rocket science, after all it was going for a very good price (almost trade level) and is a great car for keeping. Assuming it's not smashed up it'll be another of the increasingly few un-butchered and solid not rotten genuine RZ-S TT6's on the road. As for taking it over, so tempting In a few years, if I've bought another house out there with a big garage, watch this space, I may be buying your supra. If it comes to that, I'll make you a proper offer, not fuss around trying to object to normal practice of buying and selling. Watch this space. It was never about the money, trust me.
  10. Nope, you are wrong. Did you have an arranged viewing? No one was definitely set to view because the car was held pending sale since Tuesday and sold late last night. If it's not clear it is sold and I don't message everyone who is interested then IT IS SOLD I've already text anyone who has been chasing me for it, not sure what else I can do
  11. Anyway not to leave on a downer about that minor silliness. It's been great to be a Supra owner, everyone has been excellent, I'm pleased the car sold to an enthusiast who really wanted it (and sounds like it won't be butchered) and wish everyone maximum success and fun
  12. Yes but here's the key detail. I made a mistake and said best price starting at ... Mods complained and I learnt the rules I EDITED THE AD TO MAKE IT FIXED PRICE, ASAP (IMMEDIATELY) Then the mods killed it anyway afterwards (FFS  ) and not one of them had the decency to even message me about it. Pretty darn disappointing IMHO, just sayin'
  13. PM me if you want. Lots of people interested esp. given it was listed for just a few hours. The preceding thread (this one, not the ad) maybe helped, but that wasn't premeditated. Really didn't know for sure until actually this week (visas etc) - if it had gone wrong I would have kept the car for sure. Was sorry to see it go. Thanks, I think we will Also hoping to fly from Long Island which means subject to ATC zone rules, flying around the area should be a blast. It'll be a while I suspect before I need/want a car again out there, but we'll probably rent something fancy periodically to do some EPIC road trips.
  14. Thanks mate - same to you. The end of one thing means the beginning of something new, exciting!
  15. Yep, in fact only the second person to see it (first wanted a UK spec). With a list of buyers > 10 within a few hours of listing it before the Mods INCORRECTLY removed the classified, it was priced to sell and that's good because I can't take it with me right now Wonder if I end up with another. Could also go to the dark side and get a GTR, or a Porsche (really like GT-2/3) but a v8 muscle could be big fun when in Rome as they say. We'll see. Keep enjoying the Supras, great car, a classic from the day they made the first one
  16. Nope. I started it at 12750 for a quick sale then repriced it. To be honest the choice to sell it, set a price, reprice is my choice. It did start with best offer at least 12750 but I didn't know that was against forum rules. Hence the simple repricing.
  17. It's been fun owning a Supra, since 2005 - great cars. Maybe another one day. New hobbies now, including flying helicopters (cars far less exciting once you've been up in the sky) Is it me or did this forum get a lot more bitchy since back then? I'm sure it used to be better, hope that returns. Anyway, it's been great - much fun. Thanks for all the genuine help and support here. Next time I post it might be from across the pond where maybe a v8 is in order - I certainly wouldn't mind trying out the Supercharged 6.2L HEMI® SRT Hellcat V8 for fun, muscle car for the win. Have fun!
  18. Misunderstanding it was an auction (never was) or Stasi moderators. Take your pick.
  19. hey guys do you mind. for the record I set the price, stuck to it, took a deposit and sold it. Like a bunch of old ladies with handbags sometimes...
  20. Agree totally. Heavy mods is a route to ruin (as much fun as it may be) - it's the long-term death to most cars, at some stage. Also, they drive so nicely stock or near stock, really overlooking a great drivers car to make a straight line 'drag' machine, potentially.
  21. Thanks Carl. I think the classified has been moved/busted but anyway, is for sale. Speak later.
  22. mine will be up for sale...
  23. Ahah good idea, sounds simpler and less hassle. Coolant /system seems great, no issues. But for anti-corrosion I'd like to replace the coolant fluid. Got the Toyota Red for it, I know some people prefer others but I've literally never had any trouble with it.
  24. As a matter of routine service I want to drain coolant and refill. I see there's a block drain plug. However if I touch it I presume there is a chance of a leak afterwards. Is there an o-ring on it? Anyone got the size/spec or point me at part no, presume I'd only get the Toyota part from local Toyota garage? 2JZ-GTE TT 96 pre-vvti Thanks!
  25. Still gathering info in preparation. Grabbed another picture, under the bonnet. Could do with a going over with a rag and a little elbow grease but it's pretty tidy and sound. As I say, I have the stock bits, OEM airbox etc should you want to go back to stock entirely. Engine and box are very sweet, never a moments trouble. (this car has never been dragged or tracked).
