Thanks for thoughts so far. Service on monday, so I will pass opinions on to them. Liking the Welsh fuel theory, as if anything Welsh could be anything but dodgy:p My sister reminder me at the weekend that we do in fact, have distant Welsh roots, which explains a lot.

Cant check the codes myself, Im VVTI, but codes were ckecked for me last week after re-occurrence of fault I had last year - same code and symptoms as before..... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=45814&highlight=tps Cant say I noticed any pinking last time I had this problem, could be coincidence this time or related ?

I've noticed slight pinking at slow speeds on inclines recently. What can cause pinking in a car thats used the same petrol (Tesco 99) for about a year, and never had it before ?

Ive no idea....she came home, dumped all the crap she hadnt sold onto the front lawn and stormed off as fast as her little VW could splutter. I bet her mum will be tapped for a sub till payday though...just a feeling.

millions of flying ants...everywhere. Thousands seemed to appear from my drive-way and my neighbours at the same time, then there were millions of em everywhere, going stright up toward the sky. A short while later there were hundreds of seagulls riding the up-drafts, catching the ants. Ive been watching it for ages. Cool

At a rough guess, Id say it was a load of crap:d Mostly clothes, ornaments CDs etc...usual kacker fodder. Oh, and some lifejackets and some victorian glassware of mine, which was rather naughty of her...

Roxy spends all yesterday sorting / pricing / packing a van load of stuff to do a car-boot sale. Gets up at 6.30 this AM and has just got back after several hours in the sun. Entrance fee..£7. Gallon of petrol to get there....£4. She made £15, of which £5 was for something of mine. Heads down guys, shes just gone Chernobyl.
