  1. Wow......those heat shields do look trick.........
  2. I think these heat shields with a vented bonnet should keep things cool under the hood......... Boost Logic ABS Heat Shield-- This heat shield protects the ABS unit and brake lines from the heat given off by a single turbo kit. The heat shield extends from the top of the ABS unit to the top of the frame rail. Many "tuner" turbo kits come with a heat shield to protect this area but are very ugly and bland. The plate and brackets are made out of polished 304 Stainless Steel and will not warp. This heat shield adds another polished touch to the engine bay while being useful. Boost Logic T4 Exhaust Housing Blanket--- This heat blanket works so well in keeping under hood temperature down that you can even rest your hand on it without being burned. These sell like hotcakes and are VERY hard to get so get your order in now!! Boost Logic Inconel Heat Shield--- This heat shield is a perfect upgrade to keep engine temps down. Use it in conjunction with the Boost Logic Turbo Blanket for the ultimate in heat reduction!!
  3. Why dont you look at the SP budget turbo kit? It would work in your budget they are 2500 US for everything to get you back on the road. You would be able to upgrade the manifold to a tubular once you have the money for fuel etc..
  4. Does moving from stock Jap spec cams to a 264 in and 264 ex give you more torque or HP? Also is there any difference in spool? Slower spool/ faster spool? Also -- If you were using it on a single like the T67 would these cams help spool the turbos up faster?
  5. I would go for a boost logic kit -- great value for what you get!! The SP kits are a bit expensive..... Also I would get the new 3 1/2" Downpipe apparently it helps spool the turbos sooner.
  6. Single turbo kits are far more versatile than the twins as Adam says your pretty much limited with the twins....... GO SINGLE:D T67GTQ HO The best response with big power!!! JET SOUND!!!:flame Dev
  7. OHHH!! The sound of the anti surge whistle is unbelievable sounds like a jet engine :D 4 those who havent heard it I have added the links below -- http://www.speedtoys.com/~daveh/93na-t/10.69.wmv http://www.speedtoys.com/~daveh/93na-t/10.23lo.wmv http://www.apexi-us.com/others/Videos/t51rsupra_vs_351mustang.mpeg
  8. Adam, I am also thinking of going for the T67 GTQ HO --.68 a/r.. Does yours come with the anti surge compressor housing? Does it whistle loud? Again will I be able to get full boost by 4000 RPM? MKIV?
  9. Blitz unit is better!! I use the Greddy Profec B very simple to use and works great!
  10. LOL! Drum and Bass..... I have the Sard R2D2 which is pretty loud can hear it from a mile but my bonnet is vented..... I would go for the HKS super seq valve. I think it has the best sound.
  11. I fixed the problem!! I noticed that I have not been able to hold boost when flooring it from 4500 RPM to 6800 the turbo just wont come on line and I loose boost completely. Checked the turbo pressure vac hoses and used ring clips to secure them then checked the blow off valve adjustment screw and found it was too lose and was leaking boost which I guess was causing incorrect reading of the RPM/boost. So the check engine light came on. If you are using an aftermarket Blow off valve check the adjustment of your blow off valve and see if it is leaking boost at high RPM's. One more thing - The car revs to Red line much faster with no boost leak.
  12. My check engine light comes on for a sec when I hit the rev limiter is this OK? I am using a ignition cut rev limiter set at 6900 RPM. Could the ignition cut signal cause the check engine light to come on?
  13. You guys haven't been here since the Old Raj I guess! Well we do have drag events in the flying club air strip! It is becoming quite popular now almost every 3/4 months. I don't bother racing much cause I have no competition! Won in the open class always. Regards to E-TTC -- I dont really care now as I plan to run on TTC for some time till I go single, it will also help me get used to the power band. Besides I really like the power curve now which is more flat and usable, just got to learn how be at the right RPM to fly. Seems to break traction a lot more now in second gear. Besides I love the deep sound! it now makes windows viberate! It had a more raspy sharp sound earlier when reving the engine.
  14. Thanks a lot mate! Really appreciate it!
  15. Yes! I have done the mod! Wow I absolutely love the car now much more drivable and smoother than before. Wish I had done this earlier!! It used to have this jekyll/hyde nature between 3000-4000 now I can hold the revs at 3500 and not have that on/ off feeling. The car also has a nice growl the entire RPM range. Driving in traffic is easier with this powerband. Also you can put the power down a lot better with boost coming in later in the RPM range. As supras have a tough time with traction on take off. :flame Dev
  16. Roads here are mainly messed up due to OFC{optic fibre cabling} Idiots keep cutting the roads! We are leap froging technology here at the moment! We now have broadband 512kpbs lines. Next year we will have 3G? I guess we are paying a heavy price for development. Traffic is an absolute nightmare!! The infrastructure can't keep up with the growth!
  17. Bought it anyways! I wish I could cruise like you guys on smooth roads unfortunately roads are bad in most parts of the country, but are improving! I still manage to find some good roads to run up to about 200-220 km after that it depends on how much risk you are willing to take?
  18. Just to confirm-- The second part of the mod -- I remove the {pressure line from above} from the {EGVC VSV}- Do I also remove the line from {EGVC VSV} to {EGCV actuator}? I would have to remove it to connect the {pressure line from above} to the {EGCV actuator}} right? Thanks!
  19. thanks man! I would appreciate if you could tell me which wires for LOCK ---UNLOCK!
  20. I am installing a JBL car security system in my car and need to know where the central locking control unit is? This is for jap spec without the TDS. My car has a basic lock unlock feature.
  21. Sequential operation is a PITA if you are at BPU++ and running 98 Oct gas, as the seq system cant deal very well with high boost coming in a bang at 4k RPM. The power curve is very erratic at the change over esp if your just crusing at 3500 /4500 rpm. The more you modify your car the worse the seq system works! I personally am going with the TTC immediately. Im sure the power can be put down better on the road also should be a lot more smoother ! will post my opinion soon!
  22. Not got any new photos with IC and other small changes! Will do after HKS ti exhaust install ! I am itching to go single then I will be happy to show my engine bay with chrome and polished pipes/ throttle body....etc! maybe by Jan!
  23. Thanks m8! I ordered a HKS ti exhaust and was thinking of getting this along as I am being charged a packet on dimensional weight so I can get the strut free of shipping cost!
  24. Does the car feel more planted going over rough or bad roads? I have an issue with pot holes here! Thought it may help me if I used a strut brace?
  25. I am thinking of buying a front strut brace. Can someone tell me their impression on whether it improved the handling - cornering or feel of the car? Thanks:)
