Ground clearance of Blitz Nur Spec exhaust...

From what I have seen on the forums the Blitz Nur Spec exhaust seems to have one of the lowest ground clearances. My supe is a 1995 J-Spec Auto TT, that has been lowered by about 30mm. I have only had it for about a month but have managed to hit the exhaust several times whilst driving and when I look under the car can see a dent in the exhaust, not sure it if was there from before?! It's fine over bumps as I go pretty slow. It's normally when I am driving around and there is a sudden slight dip in the road that I hear and feel it hit the ground, this is even at speeds of just 40mph. Is there anything I can do like have the exhaust slightly raised for that extra ground clearance cos if I leave it like this it could be very damaging and mean I have to replace the exhaust, which would mean spending sh!t loads of money. Any ideas would be helpful, like who to see, how much it would cost.

I belive it can be twisted slightly giving a little more clearance. It's odd because i always felt that the exhaust seemed lower on that car, but then Leon installed it and it's one thing he does. Maybe take back up to him and see if he can do it again. Or see what Paul can do for you at Miami GT. Otherwise you may have to loose the springs

old thread this...

I have an HKS and it too sits really low. Used to ground until I got the 19s on there. The centre section instead of being straight is bent and it's this bit that touches the floor. If this part was straight i'd have no problem.

When I saw the title of this thread I burst out laughing - Ground Clearance on a Nur spec you've gotta be joking. We've got 3 flat spots on ours from bottoming out.

But at least theres one good thing about it, its an ice breaker with total strangers who come up to you and say "Wow that was an awesome firework display coming from under your car"

:bang:
