rider Posted September 3, 2019 Share Posted September 3, 2019 I just sold a 42 year old bit of machinery for good money, a Ford tractor under the banner of historic and unmolested. It sold within 6 hours on eBay with lots of best offer bidders. The dealer buyer said it was going into his personal collection and that he wasn't going to do anything with it to tidy it up as he said the originality and Patina adds considerably to the interest of the vehicle and its value. For anyone storing their Supra as an investment, patina really is something you cannot fake and it does add value. Of course there is a world of difference between value adding patina and just plain rough bodywork and paintwork. The question for owners will become whether to preserve or restore as time clocks on. I started collecting seals and badges years ago for when the time came to fresh paint my Supra but the longer it goes on without having been resprayed, then the less that is ever likely to happen.
