pedrosixfour
So the 1JZ lump (complete) landed this morning and the W58 rebuild kit has been sitting under my bench waiting patiently since august. I have a stock mount intercooler and most of the relevent pipework. Oil pressure, oil temp., fuel pressure, water temp. and boost pressure guages plus their senders all by HKS are standing by to monitor the finished article. I have a feeling there is going to be a LOT of "please help me" threads over the coming month or so. So any and all guidance you can spare on what to do, when to do it, what else I need and what to avoid would be greatly appreciated. Wish me luck! bignum
Are you using the 1j loom?
pedrosixfour
Are you using the 1j loom? I expect so mate. It came with the engine, along with the 1J ECU (A/T).
little num
Good luck with the installation, took me 2 weeks from start to finnish, you need to put a good clutch in, not stock and deffinatly not a techniclutch crap unit.
pedrosixfour
Cheers James, if it's not a hassle I might need to give you a shout a little further into it to direct me to the wires I need to cut! Well with any luck the stage 3 Spec clutch I fitted a couple of months back will be up to the job. If not then a clutch swap at that point isn't a major problem. Do I need a TT airbox or can the stock NA box be used?
AlexM
Good luck chap, I expect I will eventually go the same way (in 12 months time or so!).
pedrosixfour
Good luck chap, I expect I will eventually go the same way (in 12 months time or so!). Cheers Alex. I could never have done it without the blatant disregard I have for my family's wellbeing. Some choices are tough. But not this one.

pedrosixfour
Good luck mate! Hope the install goes smooth! Not even half as much as I do Brad. I told you the intercooler was going to a better place!
