Guest donx95
I noticed some time ago that brake caliper rebuilds were being offered for approx. £80 each. I need 1 for my '93 J spec - rear, nearside, single pot. Can anybody let me know who the supplier might be? Don

Dnk
£80 each !! Does that include new seals ? Do them yourself it's not hard to do and a seal kit to do 2 front calipers is under £40 from Toyota. Once they were off the car i did the front and rears in approx a couple of hours, stripped, cleaned and refit all new seals etc ready to go back on the car. That was UK spec too so 12 pistons. Dnk
Did that include new pistons too? Unless the pistons have been subject to dirt and moisture for some time so they've become pitted then you usually dont have to replace the pistons. Out of the 12 pistons on the uk calipers i refurbed they only needed 2 pistons replacing. Think the pistons are around £15 each so you wouldn't just change them unless they were pitted around there outer diameter where they slide through the inner seal.
