check the cups are both the same way round

at the time the cups the other way round to the fronts as in the pic of the shocks, so on mine the car sat high on the rear like this;

then once changed over :)

have checked tyre pressure and checked shocks, replaced springs and still lower on one side.

 

very odd.

 

I'd up that to very worrying. New OE or quality aftermarket springs on the correct dampers, correctly assembled and fitted leaves something bent as the only other real option, assuming tyre sizes are equal side to side. Are the fronts level?
