Rich Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 Hi guys, I have just removed the stereo,moved the orange and grey boxes out of the way.Noticed these 2 metal boxes .The plug was not connected to the top box. Do I have to remove anything to get in there? yes you need to pull the carpet back and remove the plastic foot rest to get to the ECU Two 10mm bolts at the bottom and thats it if I recall correctly. T2 MSW Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 Thats correct you will need to remove the plastic trim along the door and unclip the carpet Just that the TRAC is used as part of the auto system and removing it on an auto can make the gear change very lumpy. If you refering to the Active spoiler control unit that the first pic is showing then yes you have to disconnect it. If you dont then you get the warning triangle on in the centre of the dash. If you are looking for a personal opinion then I would keep it if remaining stock. If you plan to ruin your car (again my opinion) with a stupid bodykit, then do not fit it.
