probrox
Had a grinding noise coming from the rear wheel lately and after a bit of investigation today I think its been narrowed down to the wheel bearing. Just wondering how much I should expect to pay for the part (traders welcome), and how much a garage is likely to charge for fitting. Anyone had this done recently? dannysupratt
I would of thought about £100 for rear wheel ones, But thats just a guess. Fitting will proberly be about £50-£100 depending how easy it comes out.
carl0s
Was either £82 or £88 when I bought one of Nic. That was about 4 years ago though.
Homer
Nic can do these at a very good price, but if you need them urgent Paul Whiffin had them in stock last time I asked, think they were about £60-£70 plus vat and P&P. You might also need the seals too, which will probably bump the price a little.

carl0s
My £80-odd quid one was for the rear!
Paul Whiffin
Yep, I keep them in stock at £65 + VAT, bit of a saving over UK prices...
jaymdee
You may need a new hub too (approx £120 IIRC), if it's been scored too much by the knackered bearing
Paul Whiffin
You may need a new hub too (approx £120 IIRC), if it's been scored too much by the knackered bearing Correctamundo. 9 out of 10 times you'll need this also, £95 + VAT.
