Guest Geneb
i seem to have a knock coming from the front of the car when i hit small pot holes or rough roads, i know the rubbers on my tailgate are shot and its not coming from there. spoke to mr.lover today who kindly in between taking bites of his second big mac told me he had seen a post about tightening up some bolts on the steering/suspension system that would cure it so if anyone knows about this post can they post a link please. secondly what would be the cheapest replacement suspension for the supra and im not looking to lower it. thx
Daston
sub frame bolts are a common cause. No idea where they are and would like to know myself lol
Alex
Yep Subframe bolts get them all torqued up properly.
Kranz
If its not subframe bolts then second best guess is the anti rollbar drop links.
Chris Wilson
What dampers have you got? ARB links, as Kranz says, dampers, none stock top mounts, subframe bushes and engine mounts are all common knock sources.
hoff
There is on here somewhere a guide or at least pics showing the bolts on the subframes which may need tightening. I'll try and find it.
