Mine's down 40mm and there is no worry with wheels hitting arches. I've had a lot of issues with the custom 3" exhaust hitting speedbumps and driveways though. To fix this I actually needed to weld a second exhaust hook under the center of the car to keep it as close the the car as possible. Still have issues with bumps but its acceptable now. Thats the only real issue you should worry about.

Regarding the soop handling its best as stock, really goes down to just choosing quality components (springs + dampers) which actually is made for the car. I really didn't get to have that much of experience with the stock setup, but just remembered it being quite close to my old MKIII as a daily driver. There is no question that you will get a more uncompromising car with lowering and stiffening but it will reward you in being a more "direct" drive. No leaning in corners and so.

Handled the Nürburgring perfectly this summer.
