Gaz6002
WOW thats seriously cheap!! Whats wrong with using Owens Developments for the Motec? If they fitted it they will know the car...
Ian W
Surely that's waaay too cheap for that spec. Where did you buy it from fella? EDIT: 500bhp on stock turbos? Lexus discs?
Guest scruffers
hi gaz6002, i would but they are around a 2 hour drive from me and would prefer something more local to orpington, kent all the best scruffers
Ian W
hi gaz6002, i would but they are around a 2 hour drive from me and would prefer something more local to orpington, kent all the best scruffers I would say two hours is fairly local considering the ECU you're using mate. I know a lot of folk who travel two or three times that distance for mapping.
Guest scruffers
i have been looking for around 8 months solid on ebay and autotrader, also considered importing myself, expected to pay £8k for it then saw this one in autotrader from a guy in leighton buzzard, went up there and bought it as soon as i saw it, unbelieveable accelleration!!! Guest scruffers
as i said i dont know anything really about the car apart from what this guy has told me, he seemed very honest, i have dyno sheets from owens showing the bhp, etc so know its right, if i have to travel to owen then i will of course but was hoping as we all do for a shorter distance

Wez
Sounds like a bargin, worth it just for the ECU. Only thing a little odd is 500hp on stock tubbies and auto box, what boost are you running? I would personally bin the HKS air filter kit as they are not too great.

Gamer
how do i tell what boost im running as i dont know how to access the diagnosits of the motec ecu Motec software is freely available at the Motec main site. You will need a connector from Motec to hook a laptop up to it. Any pictures of the car and can you scan in the rolling road sheet from Owens ? You can get a USB connector from Motec to hook up to your laptop that would hook up to the connector on the Motec. As for as where is your Motec located, check in the passenger footwell under the carpet.
