grahamc
my original thread seems to have gone missing...?? What are the pros and cons for sequential vs twin turbo?? My car mods are in my garage, car is jspec, manual, with UK spec hybrids.
Guru
You mean sequential versus TTC mode?
grahamc
yes, I mean TTC
mikeyb10supra
I tried TTC on my auto and absolutely hated it, was laggy as hell and didnt feel no where near as quick, others on 6-speeds have tried it and like it but its not for me, the stock sequential setup is streaks ahead
grahamc
I figured that it would be a bit laggy... The idea is for me to run .8/.9 bar daily and then have the option of turning it up to 1.3/1.4 bar for those "fun" days. my car is a 6spd... Is there any benefit to having it setup as TTC? mikeyb10supra
you would possibly get beter mpg becuase your driving around off boost most of the time but apart from that im not sure what other gains you might get, maybe a nicer sound similar to that of a single I guess
grahamc
do you really think I will spend that much time off boost? I was hoping for some sort of decent benefit.
Nic
Only worth doing if you have the car mapped to suit, I wouldn't recommend otherwise. I ran my car in TTC for around 5 years (with emanage mapped to suit), I prefered the more linear power delivery, but you do get quite a bit more lag.
