It is the light blue wire that is the odd one, the others should be connected like this.

Yellow - Speed sensor wire to ECU

White - Speed Sensor wire to loom

Black - Earth

Red - 12V ignition feed

Perhaps try connecting these 4 wires first and then test to see if works.

I'm waiting on a type t6 SLD coming in for an Aristo 2jzgte as they have a problem with the TRAC system, i know one of the wires on it is destined for the Trac ECU. Maybe the type 1 had that option? if i find out any details il post them up.

Ah that could be a reason!

So what about the wiring for the HKS SLD Type 2?

Just got one and it has 12 wires. Don't have a clue as to what each one does.

Any help?

I have searched the forums and not one person has posted any wiring information for the HKS SLD type 2.

If i only use the 4 wires will it work? or are things different on an automatic mkiv?
