Manual Gearbox Question

[OOPS][/OOPS]Sorry if this is a stupid question!!

I've only had my car for a week so don't really know what is normal and what isn't.

When I change gear I get a very mechanical clunk sound from the Gearbox??

Is this showing a problem or is the gearbox quiet stiff and mechanical anyway.

The noise if most noticeable between 1 and 2 but thats probably because I'm going going that fast

Cheers for any help

Jez

Thanks all will check the oil, whats the best source for the 2 litres of v160 i'll need

Not sure which traders on here do it.

Steve Manley is CJ's local Toyota dealer, he can deliver stuff at a discounted price. Not sure how much the del would be.

Or your local Toyota dealer.

It's not cheap, about £30 a litre!

Don't pour in 2 litres, it takes aprrox 1.8 litres. ( 6 speed box) . Fill the gearbox in the usual way! :)
