(Klotz, etc) iirc I got 25Ltrs of Klotz 113 Octane for forty-odd quid at Santa Pod Is Klotz road legal ? It also complies with BS:EN228 -- the UK specification for unleaded petrol -- so it can be legally used on the road. Could be why they are marking it up so high. black cat
id want another 100bhp for that price.
Gamer
I agree, no way they can really tell what petrol you are running without draining and testing but I am sure the fact that it is road legal has an effect on the price difference between this and 'Race fuel'. stupra
In terms of performance, is the extra 3 or 4 ron worth the extra money ?. I couldn't afford to use that stuff, i'll stick to Optimax or Tesco 99 ron.
Gazboy
Doesn't look that way http://www.bp.com/genericsection.do?categoryId=6621&contentId=7017179 I'm putting it down to internal communications! Just been talking to the chap who covers the news articles on PH, who has been to a conference about this stuff (BP are going to do a large ad campaign on PH). lust2luv
Good for inflated figure dyno runs I suppose for pub bragging rights.
Gamer
In terms of performance, is the extra 3 or 4 ron worth the extra money ?. . It is if you are running high boost as it will reduce the chances of engine killing det.
supraman.chris
Whats better btw? Optimax or Ultimate? Just i've become a little bit of a regular nectar point collector at my local BP!
Gamer
Optimax..... Although some would say it does not matter which one.
chilli
I'll be sticking with the 99 ron also, at least that is affordable! Related to this, is there any octane boosting additive that can be used that actually works and doesn't break anything, for occassional spirited drives? Jurgen-Jm-Imports
what i cant understand is the government is trying to kill the modified car scene then they bring this petrol out very confusing:search:
lockys96
should be bollox at that price. isnt race fuel cheaper?
Gamer
what i cant understand is the government is trying to kill the modified car scene then they bring this petrol out very confusing:search: That's the first thing I thought too, I guess BP is trying to cash in while it can. Although if you read the blurb about the new product you will see that it claims to burn cleaner and be less harmful on the environment. Less harmful to the environment
stupra
How can Bp ask such high prices for this fuel ?. Is it really that much more expensive to make, or are they just cashing in on people who want that little bit extra ?. If your going on a track day, or a dyno run, then i guess it can make sense, but for every day driving, u'll have to have plenty of the folding stuff to run it on this new fuel. Shaun.
Do they really expect to sell at £2.42 a litre ? How many people on here would pay that, fools. Is this price a guesstimate or based on any facts ? Shaun.
