Help needed - fan controls not working

I needed to remove the centre dash panel, but after fitting everything back together the fan controls are not working

All of the fan controls (speed, temp, A/c, etc) buttons don’t work, but the back lighting for the buttons is lit up. Everything else on the dash works fine - clock, cig lighter...

I've checked the 50a fuse under the bonnet and that seems fine.

Any ideas what could cause this??

Are you sure the two orange terminal blocks are in properly?

Is all the dash back in place, including the ignition key panel? Not having the dimmer switch connected causes some strange problems.

Nothing else sprinds to mind.

The two orange plugs are in place properly (checked them about 10 times now!). The right dash panel was not removed so the dimmer should be connected still...

Are there any fuses for the heater control unit in the footwell?

have you checked where the orange plugs go into the brain on top of the stereo?

Thanks mate, that plug was loose! For some reason I thought that box was to do with the ABS so never checked it

So the cream coloured plastic box on top of the radio (brown one too if I remember right) are where the air con/heater control wires go to?

I thought they were airbag or ABS related too.

The ABS brain is the metal case underneath those. IIRC the plastic box has ABS written on it because it's made from ABS plastic - probably where the confusion comes from!
