TTRickeh
I was changing my brake lines & fluid the other day and when I took off the front passenger side wheel I noticed the inside of it was smooth like this: As opposed to this which the other 7 look like (i've got 2 sets): I thought all facelift wheels had the knobbly bits in the middle. Am I mistaken?
Chris Wilson
You have odd wheels, some were reinforced, some plain. Never heard of the OE wheels cracking, unlike early Mazda RX-7 stock rims, so I wouldn't worry.
bignum
I think it`s the facelift wheels that dont have the extra bits.

Ah ok thanks Chris, I guess I was concerned I had a replica or something, in which case I thought stamping Toyota on the side was a little cheeky I think it`s the facelift wheels that dont have the extra bits. Seems a bit strange they'd take the reinforcement out for a later version? Like they made the decision to make the wheels weaker? If you dont like them give them to me.... Sure, one of them is square though Nah i'm going to chuck some R888's or Pilot Sport Cup's on the spare rears for the nicer weather or if I decide to do a track day. Guest Budz86
Mine is a pre-facelift NA with stock 16's and the inside is smooth. Not sure if there is a difference depending if they are 16's or 17's though.
