3rd front o/s brake caliper binding, whats up with my car?

Surely this cannot be coincidence? The 3rd and same caliper has started to bind and I'm getting really pissed off about it. Front drivers side seems to be jinxed. Is this anything to do with it being the closest to the master cylinder? Plus I now need another caliper, (see wanted lol). Any ideas so I can prevent this happening again?

New / refurbed or used? Just unlucky maybe.

Laos does that one get left out at night facing the wind and rain?

The 2nd and 3rd one were bought 2nd hand off here, so I suppose its to be expected....maybe. Wind and rain plays no part where its parked.

But 3 is surely something wrong.

Is it definitely the caliper, or could it be the sliding bolts on the frame? I had what I thought was a binding rear caliper, but it turned out that one of the bolts had lost all the grease and was sticking - problem sorted

Take the pads out, refit the caliper to its pins and bolt up. Can you now slide it fully across, both ways, with the tip of your little finger? If not the sliders are goosed.

Well just discussed this with my mechanic and told me he has heard of it before with the braided lines. The teflon inside braking, causing a one-way valve effectively and causing caliper to stay on.

So just ordered some new lines and see if that fixes the problem. Another one to keep in mind guys.
