Sky HD

Just had this fitted and all I can say is Wow, the picture is amazing well worth the extra tenner a month.

Might have to dig this up in a months time and see if you think the same. Only another tenner a month will make my subscription nearly £60 a month - that's 4 HD DVDs !!!

But, just bought a 42 Panasonic Plasma, so maybe .........

Glad you're happy tho mate, I bought one of those HD DVD boxes for my xbox360 and have been well impressed with that too

Got the box from Sky for £199, they have a offer on until end of September if you have been with them for more than six years thats what you pay, 3-6 years £249, normal price £299

Getting better then, but i still would rather wait until it becomes free

I had Sky HD - for one night. I finally got around to connecting up my mates system yesterday (he gave me it and the card when he moved to the States a couple of weeks ago). It worked - but this morning, all of the subscription channels have gone, and it tells me to call a number if I want to upgrade.

Before he went, he told me he'd asked them if they would allow him to cancel early (he won't have had it 12 months until December) and they'd said they probably wouldn't - it seems they changed their mind last night!

Although the picture quality is good, one evening with it convinced me I don't actually want it yet anyway - there are still just not enough channels. I think the movie channels are the only ones I'd watch, and even they would be pretty rarely.
