TT auto box part number question

Ok, I bought a new Auto TT ecu as I thought this was causing the fault codes and weirdness I have been experiencing.

The replacement ECU for mine (1993 jspec TT) has a different part number...

I have on Supraforums and found this

ECU Identification Numbers

I've located all this, but does anyone know the numbers for the US-spec TT Auto 96-98 Supra ECUs?

Aristo ECU Part Number:

- 89661-35060 (91-93)

- 89661-30870 (93-97)

Supra ECU Part Numbers (Auto, J-Spec, NA):

- 89661-14600 (93-97)

- 89661-14810 (97-99)

Supra ECU Part Numbers (Auto, J-Spec, TT):

- 89661-14490 (9305-9310)

- 89661-14491 (9310-9605)

Supra ECU Part Numbers (5Spd, J-Spec, NA):

- 89661-14610 (only number listed)

Supra ECU Part Numbers (6Spd, J-Spec, TT):

- 89661-14500 (9305-9310)

- 89661-14501 (9310-9605)

- 89661-14770 (9605-9709)

- 89661-14830 (9709-)

Aristo ECU (JZS16#)

- 89661-3A470 (9708-0007)

- 89666-30180 (0007-)

The ECU part number depends on the age of the car.

2JZ-GTE engine

jzs=Aristo

89661-30510 = JZS147..Q Oct 91 - Aug 93

89661-30750 = JZS147..Q Aug 93 - Aug 95

89661-30880 = JZS147..Q Jul 94 - Feb 95

89661-3A180 = JZS147..Q Aug 95 on

2JZ-GTE engine

89661-30560 = JZS147..V Oct 91 - Aug 93

89661-30870 = JZS147..V Aug 93 on

My original ECU that I am trying to replace is 89661-14490.

That is the correct ECU for the car.

The replacement one I have is also labelled as being for a 2JZ-GT A/T but (and the label is worn so I can only read part of it

8***1-146**

Now, I can only see the NA auto ecu that has a 6 as third digit in the second number. Mine is 100% OEM labelled as a GT ecu and the numbers above are right!! Anyone got any ideas what its from?? I have googled my ass off and can't find anything. I am wondering if it is a superceding ECU of the original??

Instead of a large 89 label it has a yellow label with 06 on if that helps anyone...(depending on which way you read the label, so it could be 68 and 90 respectively!)

cheers
