The mod with the two diodes works fine and is very simple, no need for a mass of relays and resistors that give off loads of heat!

It depends if you just want one fog or 2, but it just needs 1 diode put in the green/white wire to the inner brake light, this has the bar on the diode pointing to the bulb, then put another diode in the line fron the fog light switch.

Both diode ends with the bar on the package are twisted together, as in the diagram on the link, then cover the diodes with insulation tape or heatshrink.

If you want an nearside fog, then do the same as of the offside.

The result is no heat given off while the fog lights are on, and the bulb failure sensor is happy.

The diodes I used were 90SQ040 Schottky diode, radio spares 544-6085, they are 9A 45V parts, they drop 0.4V at 9A so there will be next to no visable difference in brightness between the seperate brake bulbs.:D:D
