  1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the T20 a tiny turbo from the CA18-DET?? Commonly upgraded to the bigger T25 from the SR20-DET. Both stock turbos from 1800/2000 4 pots. Can't imagine they'd be very impressive bolted up to a 3000 6 pot bud. As said above, I'd save your money and time and use a decent kit if you'd like to take that route.
  2. Nice one, thank you. I'll be safe if I have 3L on hand then.
  3. I'm changing the radiator on my NA auto at the weekend which obviously means disconnecting transmission oil cooler. Since I'm doing this, I'm going to do a partial ATF change. Never serviced an auto box before so my question is, do I just refill until fluid comes out the fill hole or do I need to top up bit by bit until the level is correct on the dipstick?
  4. Oh, that's embarrassing! Haha. Thanks Geo!
  5. Just got all the bits together to service my NA over the weekend, weather permitting. I'm guessing I'll need NGKs, anyone know the plug number? Thankoo!
  6. Issue I've found is the Assymetric 2 isn't available for my rears which is a bugger! Only 255/40 R17 so not an unusual size!
  7. I have to say, I've read loads of good stuff on the Kumho KU39. Going to give them a whirl I think! I do get the whole top name vs. budget thing, but I also believe that not all top names are great! Personally had bad experience with Dunlop and Pirelli. Not hugely impressed with Michelin either. Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2 however...phenomenal!! Favourites were the ContiSport Contact 3, but the buggers have discontinued them!
  8. A mate of mine who built a beastly Volvo 850 T5-R, The Yellow Peril, had his custom tubular manifold done by Zircotec and was nothing but impressed with it!!
  9. Subscribed!! I often think about doing this in the future. Had a TT which I sold to buy a house. Now I have an NA which I planned on selling to buy a TT (don't see the point in NA-TT when you can buy original) but my shell I so nice, would be great to have a V8. And that noise!!
  10. The speed converter most likely sits behind your clocks. You can't miss it! It'll be a non-standard looking part that's spliced into the wiring. It converts the speed sensor signals to make your speedo read MPH instead of the original KPH. If it develops a fault, then your ECU will be getting all sorts of conflicting info, this causing odd shifting. This us why the suggestions above are to disconnect it and go for a drive. Your speedo will read KPH. If your odd shifting is cured, buy a new converter. If not, look elsewhere!
  11. I've resigned myself to just pressing the button everytime. 3rd world problems ay!? Haha. Had a play over the last few days. ONCE it's stayed on 'fresh air mode'. All other times it's reverted to recirc. I can get over it. Was just wandering if thee was a way to stop it.
  12. Nope, even with auto fully switched off, the bugger STILL reverts to recirc at startup! My car is hell bent on feeding me recycled farts!!!
  13. Worked a treat for me!! Removed down to within 1mm of the paint with a sharp blade, sprayed Sticky Stuff Remover on, left for 5-10 mins then literally wiped it off with blue roll!! I know it was proper Tiger Seal as I watched the garage bond them on when I first bought the car!!
  14. There is an actual product called Sticky Stuff Remover, and it's awesome! Dissolves Tiger Seal without issue and is safe on paintwork. I used it after trying everything else to remove Tiger Seal after removing some side skirts from my old RS Roadster.
