Different Size Torque-Converters

Recommended Posts

After lots of head scratching.................

Supra N/A torque-converter fits Supra N/A.

T.T. auto & Aristo torque-converters fits both T.T. auto and Aristo.

Torque-converter size is matched to bell-housing size, J1 = smallest, J2 = medium-est and J3 = largest.

In later models Mr. T. made several (at least 5) minor changes to input shaft designs for VVT-i and 5-speed boxes and V8's.

Consequently, there are so many different versions, the only way to be sure is to test fit the torque-converter to the box and bell-housing, with flex-plate fitted check the spacing to bell-housing face - before fitting into the car.
