Car alarm question

Well bugger me I slept about 3 hours last night.

Aside from my cat pacing, and miowing all night we had around 70 mph winds and lashing rain throughout the night and the damned car alarm set of 7 times, FFS. Needless to say I am absolutely fcuked today.

Now here the question, does anyone have or know much about Laserline alarm systems??

Mine is the 291i, but other then the certificate I got no user instructions and I would like to know if there is an option to disarm it on occasions like last night when it's that windy.

As I live on the top of a Cliff winds like last night are not to unusual and I can't be bothered to spend all night hanging out the bedroom window to shut the bugger up.

On my Fiat there was an override where you turn off the alarm but keep the immobiliser on.

Any suggestions appreciated. Oh, and yes I tried to just leave the system unlocked after the 5th time at 6.25am this morning but it re-armes it's self after a few minutes.

Someone said we should try to adjust the sensitivity but got no clue how to.

Don't know about laserline, but in general close your heater vents and make sure all windows are fully closed as with high winds a bit of air entering the car can trigger the ultrasonic sensors and set the alarm off.

Also you don't want to disarm your alarm as thieves commonly will set off an alarm on purpose so the owner gets fed up and switches it off making it easy for them.

Yeah I know what your saying about thiefs mate which I appreciate but even delivery people with sat navs don't find where we live so I'd be very surprised if a thief ever did.

Joke aside thanks for that advice I will look into that and I have emailed the people who produce this alarm to see what they say I can do about sensetivity.
