You must be a busy man sending out all these 02 sensors Nic! You can tell that petrol prices are going through the roof everyone is buying them up to save a few quid :D

Fitted mine the other week, has made a big difference. Thanks for your help with it!

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry for bringing this up from a couple of weeks ago, but I've fitted my new O2 sensors and the petrol consumption is still the same as before, and the idle is a bit erratic on start up since fitting them :( Stupid question maybe, but do the gaskets have to be fitted a specific way around?

It doesn't matter which way around the gasket goes.

Have you tried resetting the ECU? Disconnect the battery for a 10mins or so, then reconnect. It may not tick-over and be a bit lumpy for the first few miles, but after it relearns the settings it should be fine.

I was going to try the ECU reset this weekend, hopefully that will sort the idle. Maybe the petrol consumption will pick up after that too :D Cheers Nic.
