Ducting of FMIC half done

...... following on from before as I can have more than 20 images per post.

 

This is a shot of underneath now the ducting is on, you can see how the tabs need fixing to the FMIC to stop air leaking underneath.

To do this I chose an L shaped braket that will run the width of the FMIC that will bolt to the 2 fixing holes and pin the tabs to the IC. Here it is cut to size (600mm long).

Drill 2 holes to match the IC mounting holes & bolt it up. I didn't have short enough bolts which is why I had to use another nut on each bolt, will change this when I get some.

The top is much easier. Again made in 2 halfs, here is one cut with a single bend.

Just fit them either side on the top, they should meet the bottom ones half way down the side of the IC. Then use the other L shaped bracket to secure the top in the same way you did them bottom.

That's it complete.

 

FWIW, I was seeing a cool 32 deg on sustained 4th & 5th gear WOT runs, an unducted setup on the same XS Power FMIC was seeing 47 deg.
