I have a couple of problems with a bathroom sink....

1. is there a seal where the drainage pipe meets the bottom of the sink? as it is slightly leaking and just wondering if it needs resealing with sealant or is a part needed?

The blue bits reprosent water

2. The sink drains REALLY slowly, its had hot water and drain clear down it a few times and i've checked the S bend and it's clear, but still it drains slowly

Have a look to see if you can take the drain out from inside the sink and sometimes theres a gasket there. If not you should be able to strip it down from underneath. Can use sealant if you cant get hold of a new gasket

Sorry didnt read on as i was admiring your great diagram :) .If its all plastic strip it back as far as you can. Find something long and not to thin to poke down and free up. Places like b & q sell compressed air drain cleaners that force things through. Normally work better than any muck you pour down.

try checking further down pipe work(outside on some houses) if not b7q do a drain cleaner based on sulpuric acid (in a white box ) that should work will smell alot burns the fat/hair/gunge etc. dont over tighten the plug hole after you seal it or you will force all the silicone out . j
