Branners
is the model code not listed on the serial number sticker usually on the underneath of the laptop? I dont think Windows stores the model number anywhere, its usually held in BIOS somewhere and there may be a tool to get at it but I cant think of one. far
oh yeah there it is! Cheers JB! And how do I know how much mb of RAM it has ?
Branners
theres a PM or email from you somewhere that I havent replied to isnt there... On the memory side of things if you right click My Computer and go to properties and bottom right hand side of the screen lists how much memory is AVAILABLE to be used. Some machines use RAM for video memory so you may lose 32mb or more to a graphics card, thereby giving 480mb instead of 512mb. JB
