Guest pemtek
Hi had a few requests and one offer of £400. I wont sell them unless they reach £500 or I will keep them as spares. Highest offer secures over next week. Thanks

Highest offer secures over next week. Thanks I think you might be keeping them as spares then. I've seen full sets of UK brakes (front and rear) for around the £600 mark and they didn't sell all that quickly (although they did sell). So £500 for front only seems a bit expensive. Homer
I think you should reconsider the price, you can get a new set for a similar price, without the dangerous pads.

Spoony
Why are the EBC pads dangerous? they brake really bad if they are not warm
matt k
they brake really bad if they are not warm Ok, but that's like saying a Large single turbo is dangerous due to the lag and the massive power delivery all at once.
DaveK
Ok, but that's like saying a Large single turbo is dangerous due to the lag and the massive power delivery all at once. Not really. Years ago I had brake pads on my Fireblade which were fantastic when hot - lift the back wheel at 80mph. But absolutely hopeless when cold. On a race track they would be fine, but on the road they were dangerous. Never used the EBC's but if they were like the bike pads I had, I certainly wouldn't want them on a road car. Why is it not like what i stated? 1.Large turbo with lots of lag and massive power on boost=drive accordingly. 2.Brakes that require warming before braking from speed=drive accordingly. Just my 2p

Just my 2p Who said "speed". If the brakes are that bad when cold, then even travelling at normal town speeds will be an issue if you have to stop suddenly. That's not the same as "if I hit 4k rpm I know the car will go mental".

I didn't say HIGH speed did i? Anyway WE are cluttering up this guy's for sale thread so i'm out of the discussion.

So your solution is : if you know the brakes are crap when cold, drive accordingly. I.e. keep stationary.
