Foz
Hiya all, Ive got a slight problem with my car alarm and its driving me (and mt neighbours!) mad. Its a clifford XL10 and not matter what i do it constantly goes off at random times. Ive tried just locking the doors and not setting the alarm but it auto sets after 30 secs.....and then its a matter of time before it goes off. Im not sure what to do with car alarms and im sure just ripping out the wires is not a good idea. Can anyone suggest anthing withough investing in a new car alarm? Cheers. AndrewOW
My Clifford alarm played up a few months ago, doing the same thing as yours. I had the bonnet sensor removed, but that didn't help. For some really inexplicable reason, it seems to have righted itself recently. I have no explanation on why it would do that! Very annoying isn't it! I was going to replace mine with a decent Toad alarm, but it doesn't seem as though it needs it now. Weird. Hope you get it sorted for your own sake
Foz
Yeah its a strange one, no idea why it likes to make noises stupid thing. It would be a step forward if i could just disable it so it doesnt go off all the time but i cant even do that. Ive checked the manual but theres no option to disable it at all, suppose it makes sense really. If i stop typing, i reckon i can hear it going off in the car park at work.......*sigh* its one of those silly sounding sirens as well that sounds like an ice cream van......oh joy. Foz.
