Greenauto
Seems each month I manage to add another thing or three to the list of to do's for the Supra. One of this months is sorting out the number plates and mounts. The plates themselves are fine. They have however been fitted really badly into what I think are the original mounts. The mounting screws front and rear are the plastic ones and have been tightened so they are impossible to remove without shredding the heads off. ONe of the two rear screws actually has been shredded off. I'm left with the possibility of a flappy number plate on the back. The front one isn't much better. The screws don't go far enough in to hold the plate tightly so it flaps a wee bit as well. Do I need to replace the whole thing, mount and all or can I just try cutting the plastic bolts out and using pliers to remove the crappy plastic screws and fit new ones. Don't want to go steaming into it without warning. Has anyone else had problems with their plates?
