matt k
Never been in a single turbo supra and was wondering what the difference would be if comparing a tt 6spd and a t61 6spd? i.e acceleration, fuel economy A T61 would be quicker than a Stock TT in any condition fuel economy wouldn't be much worse and could be more economical if you can stop yourself from driving on boost everywhere. Clarkey
not as reliable, Doesn't that depend on how the conversion is done ? Not a dig at you personally - but this whole reliability "thang" only becomes an issue if the conversion isn't done properly. I think people should bear this in mind. My T61 prior to selling it. never missed a beat during the 18 months of ownership AFTER it'd been converted. JB's car. Ian C's car. SecondJump's car. There's a pattern there. Good kit & were converted properly.

I fully agree clarkey, maybe I wasn't explaining myself properly, in terms of the massive power hike naturally things will wear out quicker as aposed to them working at stock/BPU levels, increased power = more stress on components

In the cars I listed, are all in the 460 - 600 hp bracket with stock internals.
b_have
Mine was singled over 5 years ago, mapped well and has never missed a beat.

Anyway, touch wood mines been very reliable in the time I've owned it. 1 turbo bearing failure and one easily fixed oil leak. Apart from that it's been as sound as a stock TT.
