tyre pressures for 19" racing hart wheels

As with all types of tyres fitted to a Supra the stock original sizes fitted to stock rims are quoted to be 36psi allround, but any other size you'll have to do a bit of trial and error to see which pressure suits you. On your tyre wall there will be a max pressure indicator....usually around the 55psi area. As long as you try pressures under that and not much lower than 36 psi you'll have to do a bit of test driving.

Just remember that the higher the pressure the better wet driving grip you have. The lower the pressure the more mechanical grip you get from the rubber with it having a larger contact area. But if you go too low then you'll find the tyre sidewall will start collapsing on cornering and this will have bad consequenses on grip as it ripples and prevents the contact area from working as it should.

So usually anything between 34psi and 42psi should do fine.

Also you'll find that higher pressure will wear out the centre tread and lower pressures will wear out the outer tread at higher rates respectively.

I've done a lot of 'messing' around with my tyre pressure all summer to obtain an even wear across the front and rear treads. I'm currently running 40psi on the front and 36psi on the rear. If I go lower on the front then my inside tread on wears away at an alarming rate. And 36psi on the rear seems to give even tread wear so this means that I'm getting the best use out of my tyres in terms of longevity.
