GeordieSteve
Just busy ripping the dead turbos out and had a look at how the Blitz spec S boost controller was set up. It appears that the connection from the controller servo are only connected to the actuator that is only connected to the front turbo Surely this would only boost one turbo or am I wrong (the other turbo seems to have it's own actuator which seems to have no connections at all)?????? http://www.thegeordieconnection.com/stevep/supra/fucked/1.jpg http://www.thegeordieconnection.com/stevep/supra/fucked/2.jpg http://www.thegeordieconnection.com/stevep/supra/fucked/3.jpg
Supra ST Myster
Looks right, the pipe that goes to the turbo should go to the "in" and the pipe on the top of the acuator goes to the "out" the bottom of the acuator should be blocked off. GeordieSteve
But it's only connected to this actuator. The other turbo has it's own actuator and isn't connected to the boost controller at all. Does that not mean the boost is only being turned up on one turbo? GeordieSteve
lol yeah I think that's whats happened. It hit 1.2 Bar before it blew. It should have been ok to be honest coz the standard IC is in good nick and the cars only done 40,000 miles but it obviously didn't like it Oh well... single here we come
JamesG
yeah, sorry to hear about your turbos blowing. I remember replying to your boost controller post just before you decatted. Sounds like you've been quite unlucky if you really did only go up to 1.2 bar. My car's been running that for two years and it's been fine. James. GeordieSteve
If your running stock J spec turbos then it's not bad... just a bloody miracle! To be honest I'm still jubious why it blew out at 1.2 Bar

I think he's leaving off the road for a bit now so plenty time to save for them. May as well do it right though. Either way, it'll be a fast car - our hybrids are pretty potent too Gaz. Jake
Originally posted by Gaz Walker our hybrids are pretty potent too I expect they are Gaz, but if your going to all the trouble of removing the turbos you might as well go the whole hog and fit a single, right? For instance, those SP ones you sell ......... http://img7.exs.cx/img7/7020/splat_trans.gif

MONKEYmark
i cant understand why hybrids are so expensive. you can get cheap turbos for skylines. a set of uprated n1 turbos that can take a nice bit of power go for £500+ seen hybrids for supra for up to £1400. i know a new set of turbos for supra are silly money. GeordieSteve
My plan was to go for Hybrids coz I was worried about the lag. Dude talked me around to singles much to the enjoyment of Envy! I'm gonna work with Envy now to get mine set up for singles so I know it'll take a while... but I know everything will be working right. Got LOTS planned now including 2 extra injectors and greddy emanage
