Mike B
I have been playing mail tennis with Earls trying to find an adaptor to fit the water jacket on a GT4088R. I have the thread in the jacket identified as a 11/16th thread and the pipe fitting it is connecting to is a -6. I sent the threads down to earls to look at and they say they don't have anything that will link the two. I talked to think automotive and they are doubtful too. All the Garrett dealers in the uk Have nothing either - owens and BTN (BTN are useless!!). I have put feelers out in the states, but do any of you use these fittings, or can you point me in the right direction? Everything on the car is virtually 100% finished, just need to connect the cooling system up!

Mike B
Good call. I got there just before they went home. A classic north east operation.. the deal was done off the books for cash and the other two remaining staff were syphining diesel out of the works vans into their own cars.. nice... they didn't have the exact parts, but with 2 adaptors and a joint they managed to get me conneced. It's a bit tight but we should be all good. I may or may not get a tidier connecter sorted later. They did ask if it was for a supra... odd... I asked why and they just said that it was a hunch.. apparently quite a few of us go there! He did say that there was one embedded in the transporter bridge a while back.... wonder who that was...? lol thanks for the tip, looks like I'll be turning the key this weekend thanks to you... well done chap! bromy
You might want to try DAF trucks as this is the turbo fitted to a few of their trucks http://www.btnturbo.com/catalogue/BTN_Cat_2004.pdf Page 8 (F75 range). There is a DAF dealer near you in Stockton [email protected] or 01642 637660

Good link though!
jevansio
That's the 4088 bromy, he needs the 4088R (hence the need for the water fixtures)
