south of france would sort that out, its a great drive too;)

Dragonball run was the way forward :) Its easy as pie mate, you will have plenty of speed. Just take it real easy on the engine.

Running in an engine is more a case of not labouring the engine in to high a gear/load, rather than a simple case of so many miles at no more than xxx RPM,

RPM and load should be gradually built up, why do some engine builders tell people to "run it in for xxx mls"

I find this annoying, as your average joe does his xxx hundred mls and then promptly opens it up and breaks a ring or worse!

Sorry! i think the auto box should cope quite well with a sensible running in regime.

Gradually increase the load/revs on the engine as you clock up the miles. Sitting at 3000rpm on the motorway for 500 miles will not properly run the engine in. Better to do A-road start stop driving, while gradually increasing the load/throttle you use when accelerating. Then, as you get over 500 miles or so slowly increase the rpm limit up to 4000, then 5000rpm, and by the time you get to 8 - 900 miles you can use full boost/throttle.
