Will speedo still work?

I am thinking of getting my odo adjusted to show all my milage in miles (some mileage is km) but will my speedo still work if i remove the odo to send off?

a little off the main topic... but how do you get that done? i mean having the odo changed to display miles. can they set it to exactly the right mileage too?

u would only need to change it's facial, as calibration is the same for km/m

what i meant was get the km converted to miles to show correct odo reading, i think you have to go to a certified dealer or something and receive a certificate to show your odo has been changed legally - some1 tell me if im wrong and places that might do such a jobby

I think that's correct. Not sure who does it though.

I looked into getting this done but was quoted a stupidly high price that I can't remember now. I was also told that they'd need it for over a week as they have to wind it right round past 99,999 and back again. He then didn't beleive me when I told him it was a digital odo. I didn't bother.
