simonas
I've posted previously how since I had turbos replaced the 2nd turbo didn't come on and boost for 1st only .4bar My mate spent 5 hours testing all kinds last night, bypassing solenoids etc and checking actuators which all seem to work It ended up at one point that in 2nd(autobox) reved up to 6000 revs without 2nd turbo then in 3rd at about 90mph all of a sudden 2nd turbo kicks in and goes up to .7 bar and car goes as it used to with both turbos running What could this be? wkdtime
IACV valve possibly, have you tried the TTC hose method conversion which practically by passes the sequential system? If not then run a search for it and carry out the switch, it takes 5minutes.

flyby
well the problem is stille here, does anyone have any idear about what it is? It is like the 2nd turbo does not kick in at first gear, but sometimes it does in 2nd and 3 gear. Between 4800-6000rpm when it do. If i read the boost meter right the fist turbo goes to .4 bar and the 2nd goes to .8 bar.
Tom
First thing i'd do is a boost leak test and if all ok then start looking at your vsv's/actuators to see if they are funcitoning, a stock tt should produce 0.7 on the 1st turbo then 0.8 when both are online. flyby
Is there a right way to do this boost leak test? I can se the former owner ('s friend) has try to by pass EGCV but it did not make a diffrence.
Chris Wilson
If the first turbo is semi knackered it won't produce enough boost to bring in the second one until late. Or if the first turbo control system is knackered, that'll have the same effect.
flyby
when i tested tonight. Some times it goes up to 0.4 bar and about 4000rpm it goes down to 0.2bar and then nothing happens. But some times it stays up at 0.4bar and at 5000rpm the 2nd turbo kicke in. But i cant fine a patten in when it does and when it is not.

flyby
Try replacing the IACV VSV, seems to have sorted mine out Ok,did the same happend? What did it cost? I try to get slow on the gas and slowly push it up and up, the my 2nd turbo kick ind every timre, also sometimes at at 4500rpm... I try to add a boost meter at the same vaccum hourse as IACV and EGCV. When turbo boost its only got up to 0.01 but when it happens turbo2 kicks in it goes up to 0.5 bar. I also try to disconnect IACV. Then the boost at turbo1 holds a 0.4bar and the 2nd never kicks in. But turbo 2 never every kick in at 1st gear (auto) Also try to remove vaccum horse from DV and block it, but it do anything.
