Recommended Posts

Hi.

Yesterday i met with my mate who bought recently M5 E39 and his friend who owns Z3M roadster. What a nice car! I'm tempted to...

What are your views on these as you can pick them up pretty resonable now.

Regards

Tomasz

Have had both, Z3m is pretty awesome, completely different car to the supe. Z3's are pretty old hat nowadays but still 10k to get a good 'M'. Power delivery is very much different to the supe and I would say its just as much fun to drive PLUS its a BMW :D

How about the M coupe? Much rarer

Are you keeping the Supe?? If not I wouldn't swap it for a girls car!!;)

I love my car to bits, but Z3M is a cheap toy if you compare it to the Supra + N/A-T conversion costs. Next year i will get married so i can't spend too much money on car... that's only a thought...

If you give me £12k or more, why not ;)

How about a 96 Facelift NA and a grand!!;) LOL!!

I have just had a discussion with the wife and although she fell in love with your car when we viewed it in Wigan, we couldn't justify "upgrading".

I would stick with it mate. What you have there is very special! Probably the youngest Supe in the country!!

I was only joking, i will not sell her mate. I would keep her as long as possible. Every time when i look at this car i have big fat grin on my face :D My N/A-T conversion will be cost me more than i intend to spend, but it is fulfilment of my automotive dreams. Let's hope that final result will be worth the money. :)

I like Z3M, i like it very much, but it is only an excellent car. I was waiting for my first Supra nearly 10 years...

Driven a friend's M-Coupe. Very nice car - quicker of the mark than a stock TT soop and then pretty much evenly matched in a straight line.

Would think a BPU would be catching and past it again by 100-120 leps.

Have to admit, the M-Coupe is more fun in the twisties - the driving position is set so far back and the steering is pointier than the Soop. You get really good feedback.

And now the downsides - it's a 2-seater. No thanks. But mainly, it costs a goddamn fortune to run - BMW parts are damn expensive, and the M-Tech engine eats VANOS units. Wouldn't touch an M-Coupe myself unless it still had the extended BMW warranty (£1,000/yr).

....also worth checking if its had all its recalls including the 'vanos problem fix' BMW are good at sending out recall notices so they should be ok

Also worth remembering Jap cars are second rate cars compared to prestige BMW mark :D (awaits onlslaught) lol
