Tricky-Ricky
Can anyone suggest a good one that will do good photos, take non std/cheap inks, and possibly print DVDs to?

michael
We dish the Lexmark X5470 out to our users, they seem happy enough with them and we haven't had any back faulty. http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/96017/lexmark-x5470.html Photos look OK on paper but the review above suggests there are better options out there, no idea what though There must be a site somewhere dedicated to such things? Branners
My colour laser printer became a victim of building dust recently so I found a cheap all in one printer as a temporary replacement. Its the HP 4315. PC World have them for £49 at the moment. It has a sheet feeder on it as well so it can scan multi page documents. Print quality isnt quite up to the colour laserjet but its not too bad for the price. JB
kylestt
I had an HP 33xxx series and it was a really nice setup. I no longer have it though as i went to just a black and white printer.
Tricky-Ricky
Been looking at the Epsom range, what do people think of them?
Paul
Epson R300, PC world are now doing them for a tad under £50. I've got one and a few mates have them also, oldish model now I guess but it does print well. Does your CD's too, not tried this but mates have and they come out good. Have a look around as PC world ain't that cheap usually Paul
hiten55
i used to work for PC World (i know ) and the epsons were allways the best printers. however, i believe Canon are really good, quality wise i mean, and the inks cheap too. but end of the day you get what you pay for. so get the best canon or epson you can.... Mas
make sure you buy the ones that you can get some cheap copy ink/cartridges for it. HP is good but usually expensive cartridges, Epson is not bad and you can get very cheap cartridge for them 'what I ve been using for the last 4 years' I pay £2 for my cartridges originals are much more though. MarkTheBoy
I just bought an Epson Stylus DX6000 from Tesco for £70! Its got the lot, flat bed photocopier, memory card slots for computerless printing, plug and play USB, a whole bunch of software and loads of other stuff. It even came with all the inks and everything to get started. Its very clever too, when you plug a mem card into it all of your photos appear on the LCD screen, you hit one button and it prints an A4 sheet of thumbnails. Under each thumbnail is three circles numbered 1,2 &3. All you do is grab a pen, colour in the relevant circle under the photos you want, lay the thumbnail sheet on the copier, hit scan and it automatically prints off full size copies of the thumbnails you selected. Its very cool
The Restorer
I have a Canon MP500 which is very good, but for my dad I bought him an Epson as the cartridges are much cheaper, with alternative cartridges also much more widely available for it.
