J4CK50N
Hiya Sorry for asking but I have tried search and am not having much luck!! I have been looking around the site for a while and have found it useful. I have a problem with the idling on my Mk IV Supra J-Spec TT 6 speed. When the car is sat in traffic after warming up the revs seem to sit at around the 1k mark. When it is warming up and just pottering around it seems fine. Mods include oil cooler, FMIC, induction kit, decat (both) full system, FCD, boost running at 1.1bar. Hope thats all the info needed, but if anything else is needed just let me know! Cheers J4CK50N Editted because I can't spell the difference between 4 & 6!!

Ian C
is the problem that it idles too high when it's warm, right? Not being funny, it's just not 100% clear from your initial post. -Ian
J4CK50N
Yes mate, It seems to be idling a little higher than it should once it is warmed up. Thanks J4CK50N
Ian C
The stock cold start cycle should be (on a turbo) a rise to 1100/1200 rpm and then a steady drop by 50rpm chunks to about 700rpm. How does yours, if at all, differ from this? -Ian
J4CK50N
From cold it is fine, pretty much as you have described. It is just when it is up to temperature, both water and oil. It seems to just sit at around 1000 rpm. It really is quite odd. The car seems to be behaving exactly as is always has. This will be my last post until I can pay for my account as I dont have paypal!! Hopefully the info I have given will be sufficient, sorry if it seems a little hazy - stuff like this isn't my specialist area. Thanks J4CK50N

Tom
I've heard similar problems like this on other cars, usually all it takes is resetting the ecu. Maybe you could try that and see what happens?
