stevie_b
I've done a search here, but couldn't find any advice about who to use... I'd like to unlock a Nokia 6230i that I've just bought. It's currently tied to Virgin, and I want to use an Orange PAYG SIM card in it. Has anyone had any experience with the many websites that claim to be able to do this? Or has anyone used the software that you can download to do it? I don't want to risk messing the phone up, so if the software's dodgy, I'd rather just pay a website to do it for me. Nathman
I use http://www.mobileliberation.com Great site for unlocking Nokia's. I believe it was about £2 last time I did it. Edit: £2.15 actually:)

stevie_b
download this free dct4 code calculator and follow these instructions I used to do it to all the previous nokia's using a code calc like this one but ive moved onto pda's! I tried the calculator after paying a couple of quid to mobilesolved.co.uk to supply me an unlock code. mobilesolved took a while to get back to me, and I got impatient. The first code I tried from the calculator didn't work, so I backed away from that idea, in case I use up all my attempts. However, the mobilesolved code didn't work either! I'm waiting for them to either supply me another code to try, or to refund me (it's the principle, not the cash). I might try mobileliberation next...
