Robert
I would suspect being cardio surgeons may have hardened them, telling relatives that their loved ones have died on the operating table must toughen you up. when its your own family im sure its different. MrHanky
Can't see how charity donations are going to help find her to be honest. Not when theres a bunch of celebrities offering millions in reward money. I would rather see charity money going to help find other children who also need finding but aren't deamed worthy enough of publicity. I only hope if nothing else, that parents take their children's safety a little more serious after this. Since this I won't even go toilet up stairs without first checking the doors are locked etc. You just never know when some sick f*cker is going to try and take your child
MrRalphMan
And Frank Dettori dedicating his win to her.. Just too much now.. Even some of the other forums have Maddie ad's on them now.. Now again I wouldn't wish this on anyone, but I just cannot feel anything for the parents but disgust. When it happened and especially now after media circus surrounding them. ivan
I browsed an online suppliers catalogue the other day with the goods sorted by price. The first item listed was an advert for Maddie! (for £0)
Class One
I would suspect being cardio surgeons may have hardened them, telling relatives that their loved ones have died on the operating table must toughen you up. Probably the oposite imo. I find when I'm at home that my tank of professional aloofness etc is empty, and that at home I'm an openly emotional person with my family. Rob
I did wonder what meeting the pope would achieve. What's he going to say? "Well I'll ask around for you, but my lads are mostly into boys"
Tricky-Ricky
Don't see why they need the money they both have very well paid jobs. I'm sure 90% of the UK still don't realise they left the door open, i haven't heard it once on the main news channels. They seem very cold on TV, no crying or anything. If i was in charge of the police investigation over in Portugal i would give them a lie detector test. Hmm i'm inclined to agree about paying a little more attention to the parents and close family/friends etc, but if its a genuine abduction, i can see approaching the Pope as an advantage, as once the media pressure is looking at the Vatican, they may get involved, and don't forget that they have their own secret service and army, that can make MI6 and the SAS look like amateur's;)

Angarak
I did wonder what meeting the pope would achieve. What's he going to say? "Well I'll ask around for you, but my lads are mostly into boys" Portugal and Spain are very religious countries (Catholics). Meeting the pope can only be a good thing as it would raise the profile of the search for maddie in those countries. Also, the vatican 'started the ball rolling' on the parents meeting with the pope, it wasnt arranged by the family. What would you do in the their situation, sit in a room yelling your eyes out or try to get some publicity on your missing kid? (given the publicity the portugese police have given the case, or rather lack of)
Rob
I'd call Claims Direct and sue the hotel. Remember, where's there's blame, there's a claim.
