putting torrents onto dvd's

Hello all...just wandering what you use to put downloaded movies (avi) on to disk so they can be watched on a home dvd player?iv been using NERO but im having problems with movies sticking etc,and its the second batch of dvd blanks i'v bought,incase it was a disk problem,any ideas?

Also can depend on your burn speed and whether or not you're doing owt else on your PC. Set the burn speed down a little and just make sure you're not using your PC when running the conversion/burn.

 

I used to piss about with all this then just ended up buying a DIVX player instead, so so much easier, you just burn 6 or so xvids straight onto the disk, as a data disk, then lob it in the player. Job done, no more spending hours converting/burning etc...

I've found DivX to DVD conversion a very hit and miss affair. Often with a sudden jump, then voices out of sync. I think it depends on which of the many versions of MPEG4 compression are used. DivX, Xvid etc

I did find one program that was quite reliable, but it took AGES. I now don't bother and play them via the laptop.

As above really - your best bet is to buy a DivX player. They're quite cheap.
